Taco Cat is John’s side project with songwriter and pianist Erin Hawthorne. The duo surprise audiences from time to time with appearances in clubs around southwest Virginia, performing their unique original songs as well as eclectic covers. Taco Cat can move seamlessly from Billie Eilish to Twin Peaks to Steve Winwood to Radiohead to Fleetwood Mac, and all points in between.

Currently part of the show is a performance of REM’s entire Automatic For The People album. Past shows have featured Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in its entirety.
