Released May 2025, Second Planet continues the singer-songwriter journey began on 2024’s The Hidden World. John continues to show his songwriting style alongside his deep-tissue, finger-style acoustic guitar tunes. Kat Mills returns to add her distinctive background and harmony vocals on The World Outside The Window.

Released September 2024, The Hidden World is a ‘mostly’ acoustic EP featuring John’s unique songwriting, vocals and deep-tissue guitar tunes. Soul-folk artist Kat Mills guests as background and co-lead vocals on the tracks Wise and Far From You.

Parallel Lives – released May 2024. A different kind of record, Parallel Lives features classical-adjacent electronic music. The tracks feature vintage-style synthesizers and drum machines, vocal as texture, found sound and electric guitar. Stylistic evocations draw upon alternate harmonic systems (whole tone, Zappa two-chords, 12-tone rows, blues scales and quartal harmonies), hip-hop rhythms and referential treatment of artists including John Carpenter, David Bowie and Jocelyn Pook.

October – released January 2020. October represents a singular musical journey, symphonic in scope and designed to be experienced in a single listening. Repeating lyrics and motives bind the movements together, and host of guest musicians are featured on soprano vocal, tenor saxophone, drum programming, baritone guitar, prepared guitar and avian vocalization.
